I'm finally releasing arename version 2.0.
Despite the fact, that wanted more automatic tests than I got now.

I am using this version on my own files for quite some time now and did not
experience any major breakages. It passes the complete test suite, too.

So, in order to give people the newest arename features, 2.0 is set free.
It comes with a fully working zsh completion function, full documentation
and a set of example hook functions.


One issue I came to know of, involves badly formed (broken?) wide-character
tag values set in files to rename. I could not reproduce such problems myself,
but in any case it's very unlikely that the bug is within arename - much more
probably the used backend module is the source of those problems.

Anyway, these problems are not introduced in 2.0 but they seem to be there in
prior versions, too. So that shouldn't stop you from upgrading.

And if you run into this problem, *please* tell me about it. Tell me how to
reproduce it, so I can figure out what is causing it.
